The WDPA board is thrilled to announce our seventh professional dog photo competition! Join us at the WDS in Croatia, where we’ll unveil the winners.

Entries

Each member may enter a maximum of four photos, one in each of the following categories:

  • Sport and Action – dogs in any sport, including shows or just in action
  • Portrait & Man’s Best Friend – Dog(s) & person, dog(s) and children, dog(s) alone… It must be a photo that reflects the characteristics of the dog/breed and is made to serve as a memory to that dog (or dogs). The photo can only be slightly “adjusted”, for example, to enhance contrast, brightness, etc., contrary to the Fine Art category.
  • Hero dogs – dogs serving or assisting mankind in many different ways, professionally or on a daily basis, including guide dogs, assistance dogs, search and rescue, police, etc.
  • Fine Art – can be an advertisement, a portrait, a painter-like portrait, or any other artistic photo-creation. The photo must be a “creation” made 100% by the photographer.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is made by the computer and is therefore not allowed. However, changes made in Lightroom, Photoshop, or any other digital program, are allowed.

The photos will be uploaded on this site in high resolution. They will be displayed anonymously before the prizes are announced. A panel of 3 judges will score the photos and the highest-scoring photos in each category will be in a special online gallery. Winners will be announced in the main ring at the World Dog Show.

Deadline for entries – march 17th, 2024only members who paid membership for 2024 are allowed to participate in the competition.

Participating members should be aware that their photos may be used in publications after the competition.

Important: please do not send photos with your logo or anything else that may reveal your identity!!
